Sons d’Hiver 2002 : en première partie du pianiste Minnesotan Bill Carrothers se présente pour la première fois en Europe le trio de Minneapolis Happy Apple.

Le trio fait sensation. Sorte de combo à la Quick et Flupke, Happy Apple se plaît et revient en Europe puis au Maroc. Il travaille avec le producteur Jean Rochard et sort son premier disque européen (après quatre auto-productions US) au printemps 2003. Youth Oriented fait mouche. Il interroge au bon endroit.
